The history of film music would be different without John Williams. Cinema classics like Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Harry Potter are inextricably linked with his musical style. His soundtracks captivate listeners with thrilling, moving themes and a tremendous range of atmospheres and sounds. John Williams made his debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker in October 2021 with a series of sold-out concerts, and Deutsche Grammophon was there to capture this historic event!

The limited Deluxe Edition is the only version that contains the unique concert experience on Blu-ray. Including a breathtaking Dolby Atmos surround sound mix for the perfect concert experience (available as video and audio-only version)

Yup, I'll probably get this. I like his work with Anne-Sophie Mutter but it will be nice to have a concert of him that's more straight-ahead. I'll note the LA Philharmonic concert is also quite good in 5.1 - Williams doesn't conduct but he's present: Amazon.com

I've seen Williams live about 5 times now, and this will be my third disc of him live - I suppose that qualifies as a fanboy. The best, unlikely to ever be released (although it was on radio) was a concert 15 years ago MCed by Marty Scorsese and Steven Spielberg - the second half was all of his music for Spielberg with Spielberg doing introductions (and commentary for the opening of Holy Grail where he first showed how it is without music).

The Atmos mix from the concert with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra wasn’t that impressive (i.e. discrete) even though the performance itself was great. I hope this mix is better.

I bought this, good value nice sound but to me, checking each speaker this is Atmos stereo multi channel, not discrete at all. Can somebody else check this for me?

I played this through my 9+sub-woofer Samsung Bar and found it to be my best home dolby atmos experience ever.. Very descrete with an all arround up and down sound mix.
