Markus! @markusreuter

I’m enjoying “Deep” immensely. Great album and surround mix! Thanks so much for posting on this forum, otherwise I don’t believe I would have ever come across this album.

One question: It says the three musicians all recorded their parts in different places. How was this done? Did you record separately? If so, who recorded first? Or did you play together using some sort of internet interface?

Yeah! DEEP by Stick Men is fantastic! So fantastic music and musicians!
Looking forward for Prog Noir that soon will be released in surround!:)

Hi keywhiz,

Yes, thank you. DEEP holds a special place in catalogue. Also, seeing that the songs/pieces on the album have become real live favorites for Stick Men is wonderful, too.

Yes, most of the parts were recorded separately. Basic tracks came either from me or Tony, then Pat added his drum parts, and then we added the "lead" parts. There are a couple videos that I shoot during the making of that can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/pg/stickmenofficial/videos/

As you can see, Tony and I did indeed meet to work on the music, but actual recording took place at-a-distance.

Cheers,
Markus

p.s. Soon there will be a surround mix of the "Prog Noir" album as well.

Happy news for folks in the Northeast:
Markus joins the rhythm kings of King Crimson for US dates this summer!
And, for actual serious musicians, Music Camp! :rocks

Hi everyone,

As promised, there is more and more surround material coming from me. A new multi-channel album "Monde, Vol. 1" was released just today. Here's the link:
https://surroundmusic.one/album/monde-vol-1/

And "Elsewhere", that I mixed and produced for Bernhard Wöstheinrich has been released a couple of weeks ago:

I hope you are all well.
Markus
Thanks Marcus! Both of those look great. I will be purchasing both!
