I would also try different searches and see what one gets. I found sound files that could be put into surround FLAC, maybe.
Lots of PDFs, Wayback machine websites. A few dead links. Certainly, the info isn't found too easy. Anyway, "Surround sound" search:

Speaking of the Library of Congress, their current Audio Lab Supervisor is Dawn Frank, formerly of Sony Music Studios and the Super Audio Center in Colorado!
(Check your Telarc and other SACD credits and you will see Dawn's name many times in the SACD days....)
