Simple Minds - Sparkle in the Rain

Finally opened this, luckily based on the menu layout, I have the corrected version.
Though I believe the issues were on the 5.1
Of the 5000+ CDs in my collection I consider the original CD of SITR to be at or near the bottom in terms of sound.
The 2.0 on this Bluray, though not perfect, is a major improvement.
Still dense and the top end a bit harsh but the definition is so much better, you can hear much farther into the mix.
Happy with this one

Kansas - The Absence of Presence

Only two original members but they still sound like Kansas. Vocalist Ronnie Platt doesn’t have the raw power of Steve Walsh but similar enough to fit.
Some decent songs here but overall nothing really grabbed me.
The 24/96 LPCM 2.0 is just OK, sounds kinda compressed and grainy

David Gilmour - Rattle That Lock

The deluxe boxed edition with CD/Blu-ray (the latter has some of the best bonus material, audio & video, that I’ve encountered) and a bunch of printed material.
I played it in 2.0 24/96 LPCM. Nice
Really good album, much of it very un Gilmour-like.
Still making great music into his 70’s
