Richard and Linda Thompson Hard Luck Stories 1972-1982. Terrific box set with eight CDs, all for £56 from Amazon UK (although this seems to have been a pre-release price and it's gone up a bit now). It's very well mastered with only a couple of tracks from "Sunny Vista" sounding a bit compressed - a remarkable job given the variety of sources. Some people in the UK seem to have had some problems playing or ripping some of the content but my OPPO 203 found no problems. Great music and great value. :LB :LB :LB

King Crimson The Elements Tour Box, 2020 edition. Always fun to see what they have been up to, weird seeing my COVID postponed show on the list of tour dates.

Sounds as expected, so if you dig the Furs it is worth a listen.
I know we have a love/hate relationship with the DR but can I get an ouch?!

Happy to oblige - oouuchh !!!

I was listening to the Dutch Radio station Arrow Classic Rock on the internet and they played a track from a band I'd never heard of. So I tracked it down, and it arrived a few days ago Mother's Finest "Another Mother Further" some great soul-funk-bluesy-hard-rock from 1977. I don't know how I'd never heard of them, possibly as they are a US band, so they were never played on UK radio. Anyway its great, a kind of Tina Turner meets Deep Purple's Stormbringer with a dash of the Isley Brother's!

Saw Mother’s Finest live multiple times at small clubs for little or no cover charge while attending NC State University in Raleigh, North Carolina from 1975-1979 and they were never short of scintillating! They also had a self titled debut album that was fantastic. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia.
