I had the album but it may have been borrowed and returned to its original owner. (50 years ago). It was one of the albums that started my interest in what is now called world music. Of course the picture of Nejla Ates is nice too. She also has some wiki pages and an interesting but sad life.

Mott the Hoople - The Hoople

Iconoclassic version. First MTH album I've ever heard.
Pretty much what I expected, sounds kind of loose and sloppy, sound not great on the main album, Vic Anesini's bonus tracks are better. And have to say, I don't think much of Ian Hunter as a singer.
But, it's definitely a product of the era, and despite its warts I enjoyed it.

Speaking of Genesis going on tour later this year, The Last Domino tour. Its hard to believe this album is 35 years old ! Where does the time go ? I was a young buck out of college with a good job. Life was ( and still is ! ) good. This album was one of my first few CD purchases

I really like the sound and mix of Surrender (Alternate Version). Bonus tracks are great! I still need to get Self-titled, In Color and probably Next Position Please. Maybe, Budokan too.
