left my subwoofer in Madrid..my ex wife now has it..wonder if she ever uses it... oh well...
now I am just flipping out with all the weird shit they play on USA radio!!!!
Today they were playing "Frankenstein"!!!!
Radio stations here in Japan have 3 minutes of music followed by 57 minutes of talking. :ROFLMAO:
I love to listen to the radio when I visit the folks back home. One of life's simple pleasures in the States.

WHAT?? Is that ALL the stations in Japan??? OMG!!!!!!!
In Spain you could only hear what payola gave you...here, I guess they buy a big chunk off of a label...but at least you hear a lot of differnt stuff.. the other day I heard "Subdivisions" !!!!!!
But I think , my favorite station is KUVO Jazz...perfect for commuting...

I did not bother to connect the antenna to the new system I installed in my car.

Only play lossless files from selected discs with excellent DR.

Today it was Chris Rea with "On the Beach" playing.

Listening to Dream Theater "Images And Words" this week... WOW! How did I make it all these years without hearing this?! Phenomenal, uplifting progressive rock (metal?) with perfection in terms of instrumental and vocal performances from start to finish. Excellent songwriting as well. Dream Theater's self-titled surround release went through some heavy rotation around here (another killer album), but if this ever gets an official surround release, well, I can only imagine. Any suggestions for which album to check out next?

I eventually have given up on "normal" radio stations... so , the ONLY station I have in my car is CPR Classical (NO, not Cardio Pulmonary Resucitation..... Colorado Public Radio!!!!)..can't wait to listen to it in Neo...

DTS DVD compilation disc - Ten Years After - Space After Time/Rick Derringer - All American Boy/Guns N Roses - Appetite For Destruction/Extreme - Pornograffitti Live 25 Metal Meltdown. Playback on my Sony MEX DV2000 - everyone just get the f*ck outta my way!

Acoustic 70s Collection on 3 CDs... 60 classic acoustic and soft rock tunes with excellent fidelity... I’m sure the DR on these tunes must be good, because I’m having no listening fatigue whatsoever after heavy rotation for a week... these songs just put you in a mellow, feel-good state of mind :)

I have this and love it too.

Train Of Thought or Metroplolis Part 2: Scenes From A Memory.
I also am partial to A Change Of Season, but freely admit it is full of itself. Now, when I saw them on the Train Of Thought Tour as An Evening With, they encored A Change Of Seasons .... let that sink in.

Apple CarPlay/Primarily Amazon Music/3,300 Classic rock songs
Some of my 30+ DTS 5.1/Surround discs;FYI: Aqualung sonic quality is amazing; even though it's copied from a Blu-Ray Audio disc
Enough tunes to Rock my Boat!

I have to admit that even though I now have an Acura TL with 5.1 ELS surround sound, I mostly listen to my music on the brilliant HDD (hard drive) that is included in the sound package. I have loaded a lot of my favourite CDs into it, built play lists of my faves and get to listen to them in Dolby pro logic. It's pretty hard to beat.... If I'm on a long drive and by myself, I'll pop in a DTS or DVD Audio for the full impact of the stereo. On a recent 2-hour drive I listened to a lot of Porcupine Tree's Stars Die... very trippy...

Can't use the radio in my vehicle. I think the antenna broke when it was hit by another car last week. Will fix it along with other damaged exterior truck parts. Just waiting for the insurance to cover the expense.

Just added Steven Wilson's Home Invastion 2XCD to the HDD.... been listening to that along with two other new to me Cds - The Band's Music from Big Pink MOFI and Bob Dylan live 1964.. Both Hybrid SACDspurchased recently from Elusive Disc for $19.99... In the car, on my ipod and in full resolution through my Oppo... Can't complain for that price.

Porcupine Tree . In Absentia (a DVDV conversion I made as my car only plays DVDV in surround)) has been playing for last week or so. I only do short trips these days.

I’ll make a Hendrix EL DVD on Friday when my Amazon US set arrives!

Listening to the new Eric Clapton album “Happy Christmas”... great music, and the CD sounds good... the Vinyl has even better DR numbers, so I just sent a copy to my Dad. I recommend this one for all Christmas music fanatics... it’s not the same old standard Christmas tune covers :)

Decided to revisit Grand Funk Railroad this week so I made a "Best Of" CD for the car... damn, every time I get back into these guys I want to buy a bass guitar and learn to play! Mel Schacher had the chunkiest, most gut-rattling "Buffalo Fart" sound on those early LPs, lol (up until the "American Band" album came out, which, while it had some great songs, just didn't have the killer sound of the previous albums...for me). Here's my playlist (I was limited to 80 minutes of music):

-High On A Horse
-Mr. Limousine Driver
-In Need
-Winter And My Soul
-Aimless Lady
-Mean Mistreater
-I Don't Have To Sing The Blues
-I'm Your Captain (Closer To Home)
-Foot Stompin' Music
-I Come Tumblin'
-No Lies
-Feelin' Alright (Unedited Original Version)
-We're An American Band
-The Railroad

Just picked up Larisa Stow used at 40 per cent off did not know anything about her or this DVD audio but at 40 per cent off I went for it interesting DVD audio sound is good music is very good need to listen more not much on this forum about this 5.1 release

Listening to Neil Young's Decade cd1 on Our Acura TL ELS surround sound system. Decade is spectacular in Dlby pro logic ll. The system has made this cd incredibly discrete. Have I said before that this TL HDD system is spectacular. Lol

Can't seem to get enough of Fiona Apple's "Extraordinary Machine"

it IS indeed an EXTRAORDINARY Album!!!!!

And why wouldn't it be?
It was several years in the making; IIRC she basically redid THE WHOLE thing...and with the great Abe Laboriel, Jr. on the drums!!!! OOOO-EEEEE...

Lots of details and some mighty powerful DEEEEP bass (Moog!) to make my Subwoofer work!!!!

She's up there with Kate Bush and Tori Amos!!!
Yeah, Ia gree. It's great
