I'm on a swinging jazz fest today....it's a Chesky, nice sounding but when you have to stick your ears next to a rear speaker, you know there's naff all going on. I wonder if Chesky did actually release anything that has proper surround in it!!?

YES! I highly recommend the Tippi Hedren Barbie--they did an amazing job on the dress and hair, and . . . oh, wait--the disc! It's seriously wonderful--feels as if I'm out birding--chirps and tweets and squawks coming from all around--and it really freaks the cats out. Thought I would stick with the bird theme this am

Back to the Songbirds--$8 very well spent!

Got my first Tomita SACD‘s today after reading reviews on QQ. Pictures Ultmate, Clair Ultimate and Planets Ultimate. Enjoyed all of them but dig Planets the most after the first listen. What a wild surroundy (is that a word?) ride!

This is a little better in surround, 4.0 Video Hits, where I ripped the guts out and left with audio only, sweet. Two Discs.

Except for that 'distasteful' 4 rating. IMO, this album even on my old vinyl copy was a breath of fresh air. And the fact that D~V 'snagged' it for a definitive QUAD release was a 'tasty' morsel to my ears
