its meant to be used on the old CBS system (Columbia/Epic, etc.) "SQ" matrix encoded Quad records but it does some cool things with some Stereo as well

I've a Project Phono Box S2 Ultra which is great. Although my Amp has a nice Phono pre-amp, tape monitor inputs are old fashioned so left off, so to use my SM2+Amp I had to get a Phono pre-amp! I reckon the S2 Ultra is better than the one in my Pioneer Amp, mind you its not cheap.
