This is a list of recordings on vinyl sold in Hong Kong on the Man Chi Records
label with notations that indicate "4 Channel" and may be Quadraphonic.
Status on these being Quadraphonic has not yet been determined due to
language barriers and not owning the recordings for testing and evaluation.
Titles that list "4 Channel" do not indicate a matrix format or any other
info about Quad. Because of this, there is some doubt that they are indeed Quadraphonic.
Artists names and album titles may contain errors due to translation therefore
record company names and catalog numbers are the best way of tracking these
recordings. This list is sorted by record companies and catalog numbers.
Man Chi Records followed copyright law in most cases and are members of
Music Publishing Associations.

Appear to be mid 70's records; also interesting that the outer ring is in English.

Contributor for the above on discogs: Is there anyway Mark to contact this person in discogs about Quad knowledge?

It's too bad that Man Chi Records has not taken advantage of its catalog, given that most of the artists listed above are still alive and they all went on to become huge stars.

Appear to be mid 70's records; also interesting that the outer ring is in English.
I grew up in Hong Kong in the early to mid 70s and English was a required language, along with Cantonese Chinese, in elementary school. The mid 70s was an interesting time in HK being that, for the first time, Cantonese became the dominant language used in both local pop music and movies (despite the fact the 80-90% of the population spoke Cantonese).

I wonder what has happened to Man Chi Records' (sure to be) old address at 607 Nathan Road. Until I was 4 or 5 years old, I lived at 493 Nathan Road.
