I'm so buying this. Stupidly got rid of my vinyl in the "CD is better" era.

Cheers

a quote from Mark Kelly in the metal voice :

When asked about the reissues of the bands older albums in 5.1

"We're going through the process at the moment of remixing all the old albums and doing 5.1 mixes and that's been quite interesting and fun. We've just literally finished doing the remixing of ' Script for a Jesters Tear' and I think the remix makes it sound nice, it's a real improvement. Also there's a documentary that's going to accompany the album, which tells the story of the very early days of the band from the people that were there including some ex-members. I haven't watched it yet, it's literally being edited at the moment. The guy that's doing it has said that it's turned into a real labor of love and it really tells the story well. There's a lot of great information there that people won't know, so I think that would be one that people will like to see it's gonna be probably released around January 2020."

I've ordered it from Marillion.com the first 4000 get signed pictures.
Yep! Fish has also historically offered signed copies from his official store for the albums on which he appears (first Misplaced Childhood, then Clutching At Straws, and now Script For A Jester's Tear). Keep an eye out, y'all, if that's your preference.

I love that the signed print (via the band's shop) will be signed by the "then" drummer, Mick Pointer.

Major bummer that Market Square Heroes EP & Charting the Single will not be in 5.1
This doesn't bode well for getting Cinderella Search (full-length version) in 5.1 when the Fugazi edition rolls around.
I guess that they have been consistent though with the B-Sides. The only B-side or bonus cut to see 5.1 version in this series was "Lady Nina" .

Pre-ordered.

I really appreciate these “right-sized” deluxe editions from Marillion and Jethro Tull. I get my surround mix. I get some bonus audio and video material. I get some content to read.

While the extra stuff in the Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Who, Gentle GIant, Rush, and other sets are fun novelties, storing these things with almost every one being a different size, gets to be a nuisance. I wish everyone would keep it to the Marillion/Tull DVD case height book form or, at worst, a consistent LP-sized box face.
