Side 1:

You've Got a Friend
How Can You Mend a Broken Heart?
Help Me Make it Through the Night
If You Could Read My Mind
Never Can Say Goodbye

Side 2:

It's Too Late
We Can Work it Out
Long Ago and Far Away
If
For All We Know
If We Only Have Love

On the Q8, "Long Ago and Far Away" ends Side 1, while "Never Can Say Goodbye" opens Side 2. Otherwise track sequence identical to Lp.

Conventionally mixed pop album, nothing you wouldn't expect from the veteran pop singer. His voice was as fine as ever, but by 1971 a long way from his late '50s glory days. Reliable as always, of course. A '6'.

I only recently started listening to Johnny Mathis (all SQ encodes of coarse). This is not at all the music that I would have listened to back in the day however I am still rather enjoying it. This is the latest addition to my "Mathis" library. With pop versions of some of my absolute favourite 1971 hits you can't go too wrong. The mix has a spaciousness to it that I love without any gimmicky effects. I'll give it a 9.
