Michael Brecker, R.I.P. 1949-2007

Hello, friends. I just wanted to express my sadness over the passing of tenor saxophonist, Michael Brecker. He passed away last Saturday, January 13, after a 2-1/2 year battle with MDS & leukemia. I had the pleasure of seeing him a few times, and meeting him once. What an incredible, influential sax player.

I own some Q8s and records and his collaboration is almost everywhere. I met him 5 years ago, and when I heard this news yesterday it was a sad day for music.
We'll miss him.
