Here's the info on the Multichannel DSD demos at next weekend's big AXPONA audio show in the Chicago area.
If you're attending AXPONA - or live in the Chicago area - definitely worth stopping by and talking with George Klissarov from exaSound and Ted Brady (Ted_B here on QQ)

Multichannel for Audiophiles
During AXPONA 2019 in Suite 658

Presentations by: George Klissarov (exaSound) & Ted Brady (NativeDSD Music)
in collaboration with Magnepan and Parasound

exaSound and NativeDSD, in a Multichannel show room setup, will excite you with a flood of 3D spatial cues, stunning detail and immersive realism.
What better way to demonstrate what it can do than selections from NativeDSD Music?
Selected by NativeDSD Managing Director Jared Sacks and demonstrated by Technical Advisor Ted Brady in partnership with exaSound’s George Klissarov.

“Creating a life-like multichannel music presentation requires the alignment of all elements of the sound-processing chain, from the recording studio microphones to the playback equipment in the listening room. exaSound and NativeDSD have teamed with Magnepan and Parasound to build a showroom around shared philosophy and design principles – a simple and short signal path, minimal processing and an aim for natural, dynamic and detailed sound.” – George Klissarov, exaSound

exaSound will be unveiling 3 new products and will be demonstrating them in a multichannel setup:

  • exaSound e38 Mark II 8-channel DAC – an upgrade of the e38 DAC – Stereophile Recommended Class A+ component
  • exaSound Gamma Music Server – offering the best proprietary and open-source digital audio technologies in one compact component
  • exaSound Sigma Streamer
Amplification: Parasound A51 5-channel power amplifier
Speakers: Front – Magnepan 3.7i Rear – Magnepan 1.7i

The DSD Music in Suite 658: Some of the top-selling Multichannel DSD recordings at the NativeDSD Music store from LSO Live, Cobra Records, IsoMike, Channel Classics, Groove Note Records, Challenge Jazz, 2L, Yarlung Records, Sketti Sandwich Productions, Aliud Records and Just Listen Records are available in Suite 658 for the demonstrations in full 5 channel DSD sonics.

Nice.
Wonder how many "purists" will snort and poo-poo MCH as a gimmick.
I say, fizz them.
For those who attend the demos, I think they will be impressed with the Multichannel DSD music in the room.
Definitely worth checking out for show attendees. Not to mention some serious Surround Chat with George and Ted, two big Surround fans!

Sorry to hear about your jet. :)

I'll check with George K and Ted_B to see if they are planning to take some photos of the event.
Hopefully they will attract some good crowds for the big Multichannel DSD demos and New exaSound product intros next weekend.

Yes, we will be taking photos. If we can get a quiet moment, we can try to record the sound in 3D. With 5 Magnepan speakers, the room will be like Stonehenge.

10 AXPONA DSD Demo Albums On Sale!
Heard At Axpona – DSD Tracks from NativeDSD

During last weekend’s huge AXPONA Audio Expo in the Chicago area, exaSound introduced 3 new products including the e38 Mark II 8-Channel Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) with DSD 256 Stereo and DSD 256 Multichannel playback. To show off the e38 Mark II, exaSound counted on a host of excellent DSD Multichannel music tracks from Native DSD.

To bring the AXPONA DSD listening experience to your home, NativeDSD is offering 10 of the albums used in the show DSD demos on sale. Simply use the code AXPONAFAVES from now until the end of April 2019 to enjoy a 15% Savings on each of these 10 great albums in DSD Stereo and DSD Multichannel. 6 of these releases are DSD Exclusive, Not Available on SACD titles. (Save more by using the ST+MCH option at the store when you buy the Stereo and Multichannel editions of an album).

And yes, these tracks sound good in Stereo DSD as well. But, if you have a Multichannel DSD setup, these tracks (and albums) should be on your shopping list during your next trip to the NativeDSD music store.

On the NativeDSD Blog, you will find links to each of the 10 AXPONA Sale albums and which tracks (highlighted in orange) were used to show off the new exaSound e38 8-Channel DSD 256 DAC at the show. The listing lets you recreate that AXPONA demo room experience at home!

P.S. – If you live outside the US and Canada, you can buy the new exaSound e38 Mark II DAC from the NativeDSD Gear Store. The Gear Store offers you 6 Free DSD Albums with an e38 Mark II purchase. So you could use your 6 Free DSD Albums to nab some of the Heard at AXPONA albums. Just saying…
