Well not an SACD but I couldn't find a "Listening Now To This Blu Ray" thread. Rolling Stones 2.0 BD-A 24/96 stereo.

Close enuf, Markie ..... Great Remaster. Also have the SHM~SACD but as yet have done NO comparisons!

Not bad Sound Quality considering it was recorded in a basement in the South of France!

Yeah, I doubt the format placement will concern anyone here, besides, unfortunately, there's not that many Pure Audio Stereo Blu-rays out there. So much potential squandered :censored:

You know Ralph you and I both thought these new HFPA BD-A's where going to be the next big thing and they went away as fast as they started. Do you know why they stopped?
Probably lack of interest on the part of the general public who kept confusing it with a Blu Ray Video Disc [Sound BUT NO PICTURE] .....which was a similar scenario when DVD~A was introduced [NO PICTURE .... JUST AUDIO] and due to poor reviews since very few had multichannel remixes....not to mention lack of popular titles [a lot were rehashed DVD~A/SACD discs and some were also released without the multichannel remixes which had prior surround DVD~A/SACD mch releases].

If you recall, Markie, Warner and SONY also announced BD~A launches with SONY going so far as to announce a bunch of mouthwatering titles .... and then NOTHING.

Which begs the question ..... Will Universal REALLY mix 'thousands of titles' in Dolby Atmos and if so when and will they also be available on physical BD~A discs or just available as downloads?

Been wanting this one for a while; finally found it cheap from an Amazon Marketplace seller. Top-notch Norwegian chamber orchestra playing Tchaikovsky & Nielsen. TOTALLY immersive: four pieces, all recorded in the round, but each configured differently. The first half of the program (only the first half, oddly) has an Auro-3D 9.1 mix in addition to 5.1 & 7.1.

Snagged this together with As It Should Be CD+DVD - hopefully the combo sneaks through the customs... well it should if they don't factor in shipping ($13 total to Europe is generous these days).
Cheers for the heads up Haiku.... (y)and Ralphie!!!!
Just ordered, after listening to the track....sounds cool.

VERY COOL, Mike! Hope the 5.1 surround mix does it justice.

A BEAUTIFUL CURSE is the creation of musician/songwriter/producer Kenny James (George Clinton & the P-Funk All Stars, 24-7 Spyz, Celldweller, The Samples, and many more). A Beautiful Curse is dream-music from the heart and soul. A collision of groove and mood for the senses. Like a car crash, it ain't always pretty but in this case, we hope you dig it.
