Hey all,

I did some experimenting this weekend and thought I'd share the result.
This is one of the first songs I ever wrote and recorded, back in my teens.
The source tracks are not the greatest - I'd say average home-recording quality.

Feel free to simply enjoy or to give feedback. This was done partly for fun, but also to learn what I can.

I meant to post the lyrics before:

What if there were 3 sexes?
Strange, as it may seem to you
Consider how life and love would be twisted
if there were 3 sexes, not 2

We'd need a name, some way to ID
this new creature that's neither a he nor a she
What would we say, besides her or him
and what color would we dress the babies in?

Labeling these days, is hard enough
If there were 3 sexes it'd be extra tough

What if there were 3 sexes?
Is a question we all must ask
Placing each other in to categories
would become a more difficult task

You're out on a date, you've practiced a week
Just to perfect the "yawn and stretch" technique
You reach, but too late, there's another hand
You've been beaten by a thing that ain't woman or man

Dating these days is hard enough
If there were 3 sexes it'd be really tough

If there were really 3 sexes
it would complicate the dating game
Love triangles would soon become prisms
and we'd have 3 sexes to blame

If there were really 3 sexes
could ya handle that with tact?
Especially if all three were able
to sexually interact
Especially if all three were able
to sexually interact
Ba da dump dump
Sexually interact

That's an interesting perspective. To me, it has more in common with Paul Simon or Bob Dylan, than with any country I've heard (which is not much, as infrequently as possible).

Sort of bubblegum country seemed close to me as well...

This is very different from Disturbing the Universe! :D
I'm not sure what I think of the song (which I hope you take as a compliment) but your mix is good. Better than some commercially released surround mixes I've heard!

This song is weird and unlike any others I've written. I thought it had elements that would come off well in surround.
Thank you for your feedback on the 5.1 mix. I'm just learning, so I'm looking to know what my ears are getting right and what I should pay more attention to.
