The new Carole King "Tapestry" Multichannel/Stereo SACD is now in stock for $16.99 at Fry's in Sunnyvale, CA.

Interestingly, the Stereo SACD mix on this disc is produced by Bob Irwin. So one wonders whether it differs from the original Stereo SACD.

The 5.1 Multichannel SACD mix is by Paul Kingberg, the person who did the 5.1 Multichannel mix on the Earth, Wind & Fire "Gratitude" SACD.

It's nice to see another multi-channel SACD title from Sony/Columbia/Epic FINALLY reach the market, but what the heck is up with the release slowdown? I mean, the same titles have been sitting on their "upcoming" list for what seems like an eternity. I'm starting to lose faith in the format... they really need to get the momentum going with a steady stream of new releases!

Actually Sony Music has been releasing new Multichannel SACDs in the last few weeks.

New Multichannel SACD titles now available from Sony include:
* Tapestry - Carole King
* Time Sex Love - Mary Chapin Carpenter
* The Concert for New York City
* Glow - Peter White
* Time Out - Dave Brubeck
* Legalize It - Peter Tosh
* Night Sessions - Chris Botti

On the Stereo SACD side, there are new Sony Music SACDs available from Volodos, The Three Degrees and Johnny Winter, among others.
