New Denon Receiver???

Was discussing my plans for upgrading my home theater. Another home theater buff I know said I should look for the Denon AVR-5808. Now, I know the AVR-5803 has been out for a while and he says that its mostly Firmware and minor feature enhancements. He was nowhere near specific.

Anyone seen/heard anything about this? I looked, to no avail.

Just trying to keep my finger on the quickening pulse.

Holy Crap!! How can you keep up with these $4000 receivers. I had a 5600, sold and bought a 5800, then they came out with the 5803 and I was bummed. Now there is a 5808??

There is a high end receiver EZ board. I will check it out and get back here.

I completely agree with your sentiments. It's been 10 years since my last AVR purchase so I am not quite in the same boat.

I did know about the above board, but I feel I get more info from this site.
