I wanted to let you know that I have continued to use and promote Involve Audio and have recently added a number of quadraphonic demos to YouTube. These are published on the Emil G. Music channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCY8dNHCyV3EcI8WNXWq4LmQ

I know I am singing to the choir, but can't say enough good things about Involve Encode!

Hey that is amazingly cool! Thanks for the notice & I guess I've got some listening to do tonight.

As the originator who knows exactly how the decoded music should sound, how good is YouTube at maintaining that fidelity? I know more about their video codecs & quality but not so much audio. Any insights?

Youtube has done a reasonable job. The videos are HD, but the audio was uploaded as 24 bit 48 kHz. The files were originally uploaded to Vimeo, then distributed to YouTube from there. Not much is lost in the transcoding.

The most outstanding audio quality can be heard on Tidal. The latest two collection, Circles and Heart Beats, were uploaded as masters. These collections, when played in the Tidal desktop app in "Master" mode, sound just like the originals. You can find the music at Try the TIDAL Web Player, but make sure to listen using the tidal desktop app.
