HI there, I just came across this site thru a search engine and I'm a Quad collector too.
I have Pioneer/Sansui Amps/Receivers in my collection along with 2-Channel stuff also + a few CD4/QS/SQ Records as well..hehe :)
I am looking for a second hand/replacement volume control potentiometer for my QX 8000, the old one won't clean up with anything including De-Oxit, The carbon tracks are worn..
Can anybody help me in locating a pot for this??

Hey like this site- Good to see there are others out there who love this old techonlogy..:)

Cheers Glen :)

The best thing you can do is to either find an old receiver that has it, or to try to retrofit a new pot into the old receiver. Some of the pot manufacturers used to make "build your own pot" systems where you select the number of resistors you need and put it together yourself by stacking resistor pots. They may still be availlable. Good Luck.
