I am experiencing this weird issue with Atmos on TIDAL -- I seem to be unable to select the Atmos version of the music which is supposed to be in Atmos. For instance, I expect the music recorded by 2L Studios to be distributed in Dolby Atmos; it shows up as such on Apple Music, but on TIDAL it only shows as "high" quality (for instance here).
I have also found this awesome album by Deutsche Grammophon -- John Williams in Tokyo -- where it is specified that is was distributed in Atmos to TIDAL, Apple and Amazon Music:
I can see it correctly showing on Apple and Amazon Music. However, I seem to be unable to find the Atmos version on TIDAL.
On top of that, when I search for just any Atmos music there, I can find some music which shows up with the little Dolby logo, and it seems to work (tested on a few mobile devices, Android and iOS).
Has anyone observed similar issues with Atmos on TIDAL?
