i do have this R2R tape deck but unfortunately don't have quad tapes
(as a matter of fact never have seen around pre-recorded at factory tapes even stereo)
to evaluate possibilities of this machine.
this isn't quad deck in full meaning because it recording only into 2-channel but
it does plays pre-recorded 4-channel, has switch and level control for front and rear pairs during playback of quad records.
other than this, has very sturdy "heavy duty" structure and seems like very reliable, well done reel to reel tape deck.
