I will start out the forum with a discovery that many of you perhaps are unaware, the difference in Canadian tapes and US issues can be huge. Some companies were terrible, ABC and A&M, to name 2, issuing fake releases. So far, the only Steely Dan USA tape that is real is the first CANT BUY A THRILL, and it is super. But in my hands i have a Canadian issue of PRETZEL LOGIC that is discrete, so perhaps if we can find a Canadian COUNTDOWN TO ECSTACY we will have a discrete copy also. I will work on this for a DTS cd. Anyone else who may have the Canadian let me know, this one sounds like it may have been at the end of the run. There should be a better one. The Canadian are also red RCA carts which are usually better than the blue grt carts ABC used. With the pads switched they can resemble reels.
