Quad SACDs

I’m learning here.
Do any quadraphonic SACDs exist?
If so is it a usual SQ, QS decode or does the audio appear on the optical as multi channel?

Yes they do, and the discrete Quad tapes are used to give the multi-channel layer, they usually have a silent Centre channel added so that a lot of AV Amps won't get upset by only 4 channels.

No, your player sent directly into your 5.1 system should present quad with silent center and silent sub.

If you are feeling spendy and want some of the great quad on SACD I would start hunting down the Audio Fidelity SACD 4.0 titles first. They are all out of print and will become harder to find and more expensive as time rolls on.
