Is the mix any good...quad mix, that is. ☺

Fortunately I have the Deram tape to compare. I do not have my equip hooked up to a computer or any equip that would be able to use software to evaluate. The VU meters showed slight differences in the tapes. But both have good 4 channel separation .

In 1974 ABC Records bought the Dot label and renamed it 'ABC Dot' - so all the Roy Clark and Donna Fargo Q8s that originally came out on Dot were reissued on the ABC Dot label with an updated catalog number - it looks like you sort of got the Roy Clark ones, but the Donna Fargo ones are missing:

ROY CLARK -
Come Live with Me. Dot 7310-26010H & C7310-26010 (Q8)
Superpicker. Dot 7310-26008H & C7150-26008 (Q8)
The Best Of. Dot C7310-25986 & 7310-25986H (Q8)
The Family Album. Dot C7150-26018 & 7310-26018 H (Q8)

The C 7150-xxxxx tapes were first, then the 7150-xxxxx H tapes (both on the Dot label), and then finally the 7310-xxxxx H tapes, on the ABC Dot label. I'm more than happy to be proven wrong, but I don't think there are any C 7310 tapes. I believe Superpickers, Best Of and Family Album had 7150 C and H variants, and Come Live With Me was H only.

DONNA FARGO -
All About a Feeling. Dot 7310-26019H (Q8)
My Second Album. Dot 7310-26006H (Q8)
The Happiest Girl in the Whole U.S.A. Dot 7310-26000H (Q8)

Same with these three, the original issues were C 7150-xxxxx, then 7150-xxxxx H on the Dot label, and then the ones you have above, 7310-xxxxx H on the ABC Dot label.

Thanks so much for bringing that to my attention. I checked the photos that I have and sure enough there are the C version's!
You can be such a big help sometimes. I do appreciate it.
I wonder if their are any differences between the C&H versions (swapped channels, different mix, sound quality)?

Hey Mark; I was looking on your "Popular Quad Disc." list and could not find the title "Tales From The Who" (TMOQ). I looked in the other quad sections to no avail. Is the lp not a quad ? Or did I just miss it?

It was listed some time ago as well as other TMOQ titles like a Steve Miller but I removed them as being boots. The Who is from an SQ broadcast but the boot mentions QS as I recall. The Quad effect is not that great and in my opinion is only of value for Who and Bootleg collectors. Maybe I should add those to the Pirate discography (although I pirate is a copy of a legit recording and a boot is an unreleased recording)

Yeah, I found it with Steelydave's help. I did collect it due to the quad notations on the cover (crazy anolog quad collector) . I even have a couple of 8 tracks that are stereo because of the quad notch. Thanks , Robert.

I'm not sure if this is a question for Mark, but I was wondering if anyone knows if the "eclipse67" king biscuit / BBC page is ever being updated. I might eventually have some assorted updates to pass along if I knew the right person to get it to.

Mark I have some popular discography additions.

But first there should be a correction on this vinyl LP album , you have listed in Anthologies in error.
These two albums are Best Of's...

Peter Thomas , Chor Und Orchester , mit der groben Western-Saloon-Tanzparty , Super HiFi Dancing , Speil Mir Das Lied Vom Wilden Westen , Acanta , (SQ) BB 23.173 Quadro , Germany

Also available as an (SQC) Acanta BA 33.173 , Germany

Warner Twardy, Und Sein Orchester , laden ein zum Tanz Bei Kerzenschen , Super HiFi Dancing , Romantic Seasons
Acanta (SQ) BB 23 .170 , Germany

Also available as an (SQC) Acanta BA 33. 170 , Germany

The first one , Peter Thomas , I have as an SQ lp ,and will attach a picture . The second one I don't have , but I will include pictures of the first lp's back jacket . FWIW These two quad lps were Best Of 's -reissues , released May 1978 from their 1973 BASF SQ album's recordings.

There is also a Demo CD from AUDIO IDEAS in Surround;

The Norrie Paramor album which is Matrix H quad contained no quadraphonic indications in the liner notes.
This album was mentioned as being Matrix H quad from multiple sources in the British Audio Press.
Example picture from John Peel's 1977 quadraphonic article (maybe HIFI for Now?)
