$94.95 for mine...down to taxes I guess with the free shipping. Looking forward to this GHS was my first stones album purchased and I quite love it 👅

I had it on a pink 8-track cartridge in 1973 and thought it was a really good album then. In my book it is equal to the next one. Both are criticized as 2nd rate.

With the code, uDiscover's price was 96 and some odd cents today: GOAT'S HEAD SOUP is my favorite Stones album (well, toss-up between that and STICKY FINGERS), so I must! "Coming Down Again" and a few others ("100 Years Ago) would definitely be enhanced with a good 5.1 mix.

I can rest now, thank you very much, quaddies <my wallet says grrrrr 8')>

I am totally confused on who did the mixing. Reason enough for me to delay a purchase until i see some reviews.

I am as well. I can’t believe they would trust anyone outside their proven circle. Clearmountain I think mixed a few 70s - 80s albums originally as well as some of the vault releases. Plus he did single and 12” mixes continually.

Giles M. only connection is his employment with Uni. His entire career is an exorcise in nepotism.

Nicky Hopkins is wonderful on the track “Coming Down Again”

Other bands wish they could make an album as great as GHS.

Yikes, I had the title wrong (corrected in original post). "Coming Down Again" is a great follow-up to the previous song, "100 Years Ago," a fast followed by slow tempo. I received both GHS and IOR&R as freebies from Atlantic while I was in high school doing music reviews for the local paper. Not quite payola, but good enough ;). The latter album didn't grab me, though, and I didn't listen to the Stones again until SOME GIRLS!

They haven't said who did the 2020 stereo, 5.1, or Atmos mixes yet. It's only assumed it's going to be Bob Clearmountain because the initial announcement said he mixed the "Brussels Affair" live show on CD 3 (and he has a history working on Rolling Stones projects going back decades).

I don’t know if this helps or not.
All the best — good luck, 🍀 Brian
