He diced, he sliced, he chopped! He brought us hundreds of great compilations with little or no low end (what do you expect for 10+ songs/side?)

Who can forget his smooooth p/u line: "we'll be back to pick you up later!" blaring from ultra hi-fi (Atmos?) AM radios everywhere?

Ronco Presents Disco Fever (1978, Vinyl)

BUT WAIT!!!!!! There's more:

I believe Lisa Popeil was his daughter? She did a tour (or handful of shows) with Zappa. Nothing officially released but there are audience recordings traded. She did a little rant on stage about her father's inventions. (At least once at some random show that was recorded and shared anyway.)

I remember him pretty well-or at least all those TV ads! I wanted a pocket fisherman but never got one. Years after I DID get to see one someone had ordered though. It was sitting in his Dad's borrowed tackle box so while he was working the bank around the phosphate pit I got a chance to play with it.
That was around the same time I got hung up in a tree while casting, and accidentally threw his Dad's favorite rod out into the water.lol.
...at least that's the way I remember it.

I also have memories of Ronco informercials as a kid. He certainly had a knack for making me think "I need this".

We got a lot of those adverts on this side of the pond as well! Not sure if it was a Ronco one, but I remember Brush-o-matic, which looked like Velcro on a brush!

My favorite had to be the spray on hair. LOL
How could anyone think that would work?
If there is a Salesman Hall Of Fame, he has got to be in it. He was a pioneer of telemarketing before cable was a thing and 24/7 broadcasts.
