I have the original CD, which I bought in early 2000. It sounded very compressed, when compared to the studio album versions. It was a nice tracklist, though.
Is there any chance this SACD will have a better mastering? I couldn't find any information online. I am thinking it might just be a reissue... even though in hi-res.

That's what I found also regarding the original CD. But good songs that would make a nice surround sound album should the powers ever grace that upon us.

I have the Cranberries on pre~order from ImportCD, who BTW, have the best prices around.

Ralph, we look forward to your review of the sound quality of the SACD.

:LBYes yes yes! This will be along with Enigma and Japan HK SACDs!!

Definitively a pleasant and audible difference vs. their counterparts: original master, 2002 (Trasure Box) and 2018 (EEIDISWCW) remaster versions. Yes, It’s louder if you compare it with the 1993 & 1994 original versions of the first two albums, but this brought details that were burried and I never heard before. The voice of Dolores, the guitars and drums are awesome here!

I‘m not good using audiophile terms but, separation and body of instruments are noticeble in every way. If your a fan of this band I highly recommend to grab it!

Do you have DR numbers or something else that can prove this is a new mastering? I'm worried they recycled the 2002 mastering for the best of.

Here they are from DSF files in JRiver 26 ... theoretically they're not good numbers, right?View attachment 57519
