Still waiting for my CDJapan delivery here in Norway. But I’ve waited for so many years, and the opening track will be the perfect accompaniment to ending that particular period anyway. I first heard this album in 1990 at age 12, and know every tiny little nuance of it by heart, so it’s going to be very exciting to hear the quad mix. And I like every Santana album after this one a tiny little bit more than the previous one until it all peaks with Welcome (IMHO), so we have some exciting times ahead of us.

My copy is en route from ImportCDs and I can’t wait to give it a spin. Fell in love with this incredible debut when it first came out in 1969, when I was 12 years old. I spent a lot of time studying that incredible cover while listening to the amazing music that was unlike anything else I’d ever heard up to that point in my young life.

I listened to the Q8 rip again. That thing is at least a 9. My copy from Import CDs has made it to a USPS distribution center in Pittsburgh....and that's close enough for me to give this SACD a presumptive 10!
