I have the gold master sound and the 2 disc GSM Legacy Edition. Is the SACD that much better? These 2 are dam good.

All of the SACD's in this series are multichannel. Most are quadraphonic.

I have the quad album. Is there much difference in sound between the quad LP and the SACD? I’m trying to figure out whether to get it.

Yes, this comes from the quad master tape. You will get better sound quality than from vinyl and the separation (discrete) will blow you away. I do love the quad LP as well!
