My question applies to matrix encoded content, when saving MCH content [on magnetic/optical discs, USB drives, etc.] (in this case, in decoded form), do you also save the 2 channel matrix encoded version just in case some future matrix decoder (maybe using AI and deconvolution et al.) could provide an even closer to discrete decode?
I'm old school, I still just play my quad LPs and MCH optical discs although I'm planning to use the encode to Dolby Surround option in my MCH SACD player to make DS encoded copies with my DVD recorder.
