Prolly my all-time favo(u)rite Christ-mas album. Sounds AMAZING on this 2021 Black Friday RSD release: all-analog mastering from the original stereo tapes, pressed on 180-gram vinyl! I am blessed to be able to spin one today! Happy Holy Daze, Comrades!View attachment 86174

I'm loving your renewed love of vinyl! I had a 20% coupon from uDiscover and decided to buy Bob Segar's Against The Wind vinyl. Used to have a copy years ago, but long since gone.

It's members like you and @edisonbaggins – guys i thought of as surround heads – whom i've watched also spinning vinyl that finally convinced me to, as Mike so astutely put it, return to the "dark side . . . :devilish:"! I almost pm'ed you when i saw you were in Chicago to tell you to head up to Evanston and listen to some tunes! And now, you have me looking for my old copy of Against the Wind! I think Ima need to score a new one too! Stay Surrounded, Comrade!

Thanks for the recommendation. Just made this my Christmas vinyl purchase for this year. It's a bit of a change from last year's Mr. Hanky's Christmas Classics.

I pulled this out to compose a picture on the anniversary of Lennon's assassination. Just spun it. Probably hadn't listened to it in 40 years! It is a harrowing and haunting and heart wrenching work. So raw. So powerful. So profound. . . .

Love that album. The accompanying tour (that I saw on five nights) was amazing. I have a copy of the promotional LP that was sent to American radio stations. It has all of the dialog removed and the segues between songs are also removed.

See!? This is why i LOVE record stores: I was in Squeezebox, and someone saw the stack of records i was carrying around. "You might want to check this one out," he said to me. I did. Hoo boy, am i glad. I hope i see him again to thank him for turning me on to this masterpiece!
