On hearing of the death of drummer Alan White I decided I'd play Tormato by Yes, R.I.P. Alan.

I just finished spinning Buzzard Luck, Ballin' Jack's second LP. Hammon told me a story about some ditzy chick asking him if he was Paul or Jack?!?!! I would have answered, no I'm Pink.
That's funny!

I've not had an issue with CTA on any pressing. I've had it on 2ch 2 LP, 2 SQ, MoFi 1/2 speed 2 LP, 2 CD, single CD, CBS Mastersound Gold single CD, Quadio DVD-V and BD.

Personally, I think that every copy I've ever heard of Chicago II sounds kind of flat in the high end.

I agree with that. The first album was pretty well recorded. The Chicago II was lackluster. But I haven't accumulated all the different releases like you have.

PS: Don't know why I can't get it to save my edited post correctly. Something weird going on.

Ballin'jack - Live And In Color

(Interesting last song 4 on side 1 "Peace and Harmony".. "Hendrix-esque" to me if you will... maybe you won't! No one's uploaded it to YouTube.)

Jimi Hendrix - Band of Gypsys

Has there ever been an extended extra tracks release of this? I haven't found it if there was.
Hard for me to believe they only played 45 minutes or so.

Yes, there was this a few years ago:

3-LP set, hard to find now. The 2-CD version is cheaper and easier to find:

Oh, and there is also an 8-LP box called "Songs for Groovy Children" that (I believe) includes the complete performances from his 2 nights at the Fillmore East (5-CD box was also released).

A bit of history:

I personally pulled this off the teletype machine at the radio station I was working at. It's yellowed and faded now. I had put it inside one of the Hendrix album covers. Notice they got his age wrong.

Very cool, but very bizarre how it says "black" rock musician. Not sure what that's all about...other than, boy, have times changed.
