Doesn't look like that Liona Boyd ever had a digital release? And I'm sure Moby Grape is in regular rotation in your household

Is that California Soul - Tamba 4, the 45 or later LP -we kinda dig this hip version-

What a wide variety of taste you have QL.
two questions I have a different mono Byrds album but does the mono 5D have any significant differences to the stereo? Sometimes there are alternate elements like different vocal takes.
Sun Kil Moon is this Korean psychedelic style music?
Keep that dbx decoder running...

1- California Soul was written by Nicholas Ashford (RIP) & Valerie Simpson. Very nice Marlena Shaw version!

5th Dimension had a minor hit hit in '68 One of my fave 5D tracks:

Marvin & Tammy also had a minor hit in '70, their last released single before Tammy's untimely death:

Brazilian band Tamba 4's California Soul album was released for the first time on LP only for Record Store Day '19. It was recorded in '68 and slated for '69 release by A&M/CTI, which was cancelled. One of my least favorite tracks of theirs, California Soul:

Samba Blim, one of their better released tracks:

2- Sun Kil Moon:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Kil_Moon
This is not my Dinner 12+ minutes:

3- Byrds mono: I haven't noticed any differences on the takes or versions, just different mixes. I bought each one on 2ch vinyl, CD & expanded CD.

I also bought these mono versions:
Mr. Tambourine Man MoFi SACD (2ch bonus tracks)
Turn, Turn, Turn Sundazed LP
5D Sundazed LP
Younger than Yesterday Sundazed LP & AF Gold CD
Notorious Byrd Bros. (foldover) MoFi SACD (2ch bonus tracks)

4- Moby Grape gets heavy rotation. I bet I've not played that LP more than 6 times. Heard all the songs hundreds (thousands?) of times.

5- I'm not aware of CD releases of several early Liona Boyd Canadian records. I found them all sealed in a record store in Bermuda in the early 90's.

I was listening to the Eric Clapton album "Icon", which I just bought new at Walmart.

It came with transparent tan vinyl on Polydor and has 9 songs:

Side 1
1. I shot the Sheriff
2. After Midnight
3. Knockin' on Heaven's Door
4. Wonderful Tonight
5. Cocaine
Side 2
1. Lay Down Sally
2. Bell Bottom Blues (Derek & the Dominos)
3. Let it Rain
4. Layla (Derek & the Dominos)

I realize that thisw is not a quad album, but there was some quad content when played in PL-II, but it was not outstanding. Most of it consisted of background parts. The best quad was on Cocaine, where background parts were easily discernible to the sides and back.

The mixes on two songs disappointed me (Bell Bottom Blues and Layla). I remember the songs from the 1970s, and I do not remember that much reverb on the lead vocal on either one. And the reverb is up front, not in the surround area.

Reripping a bunch of stuff that I apparently ripped too quietly, after reading the Dr Aix chapter stating that you should rip it as close to 0 dB as possible, so here I am...
Starting with Anna from Donegal...
Curiously , I do not have this on CD cause I have most of her stuff on both CD AND LP.. do not have "Watermark" on LP nor "The Celts" (LP nor CD)...
I know I am an old fart but I LOVE the ritual of vinyl ripping, especially when the LP and cover/sleeves are a beautiful as this.
I will NEVER succumb to "no physical media" mindset.
(Right now I am back home for 90 minutes cause having an MRI with radioactive contrast which was already injected, so I am glowing in the dark)

A 4 track, 7”, 33rpm EP
The result of a gofundme campaign to release these recordings after the artist lost his life in an accident.
Raw, but moving. The last track “The Coal” stuck out
