This album, thanks to the US Postal Service, took almost 2 months to get to me from eBay. So maybe it was fitting that it was the first thing I listened to on January 1, 2023.
Frank's interpretations of some songs are rather....unique. I kinda feel like I'm in a Vegas bar. Remember Bill Murray on SNL?

But Frank is truly one of a kind. And reading the liner notes, he's a bit of a perfectionist. Unlike lots of albums, this one apparently wasn't done the way many records are made -- Frank sang with the orchestra, not in a sound booth after the orchestra laid the tracks weeks before. So the quad mix isn't very active.
Still, an excellent way to start off 2023. (If you don't know, the second song they play in Times Square after the ball drops is always Frank's "New York, New York." )
