Two or three others (in addition to this list).......I'm intrigued @:

As for the Steve Hackett ones, do the 2 SW upmixes (Acolyte and Defector) count as well do you think? That would increase the known list up to 11 :)

I didn't include those in my list since they aren't proper remixes from the multitrack tapes like the rest.

Oh Adam, you tease too much!
Well I'm not even going to try to guess unannounced artists without hints as that's like throwing a dart into the Atlantic Ocean…
However, if there's more from announced artists, I think the biggest likelihood for more falls on Roxy Music. Maybe a release of "For Your Pleasure" to complement the first album. It's been hinted before I know…
Besides that, I have nothing else to speculate at this time. :)

There's at least one artist supposedly getting the treatment that (to the best of my knowledge) never had anything in surround (or Quad) before.. I was surprised to hear it was a possibility.. it's not prog but I reckon it'd go down well here (and @SHF etc) if it comes to fruition.. knowing their catalogue is on Universal anything is possible (like it not even happening! :D )

Nice to see that Universal are continuing to take more of an initiative themselves when it comes to surround.
Their QC is far from perfect yet, as the only SW remix they've nailed so far as a release was "Songs from the Big Chair", but like I always say, Hope Springs Eternal! :)

If you are still updating this list we also have Stevens mix on Anja Garbareks "Smiling & Waving" from 2001 (2.0).

Goodness! I have quite a few SW 5.1 mixes to catch up on!
Not particularly interested in Jethro Tull, but maybe I should be?

If I were you, I would DEFINITELY get "A Passion Play", "War Child", and "Minstrel in the Gallery".
All are fabulous, error-free sets that can usually be found for anywhere from $25-40 (depending on how lucky you are), which is completely fine considering that each release has 2 CDs and 2 DVD-V discs encased in a beautiful 80-page hardbound book.
You really can't go wrong with any of the ones mentioned above! :)

I wasn't either, but I started with Benefit and found that I really enjoyed the music (and the mix). That led to Aqualung, and now the entire catalog is on my "to do" list!

Well, save for any surprises that may crop up, I'm curious to know which remaining Steven Wilson remixes people are most looking forward to this year. For me, it goes like so:

1) XTC "Oranges & Lemons"
2) Steve Hackett "Please Don't Touch" & "Spectral Mornings" (tied since they will be in the same release)
3) Yes "Fragile"

Ironically, most of the remixes I was really looking forward to probably won't be on this year's release schedule after all, but that's the way it works out sometimes.
And even though this is not a Steven Wilson remix (but one by Jakko), I would probably squeeze "THRAK" in between O&L and the Steve Hackett remixes too, cause that one should really RAWK! :)

I'm really hopeful that that remix is the real thing! Pre-ordered the box of course.

Do you have any recommendations for a great Jakko 5.1 mix?
I tried to listen to him sing a couple times (shudder).

You don't like his singing?
Well that's a shame, cause one of the releases I was going to recommend for a great 5.1 mix of his would be "A Scarcity of Miracles", but his singing is all over that one, lol
So, the next step would be to go right towards "Trilogy" by ELP. He did a fantastic job remixing that album in stereo and surround.
There's also "Circles" which he mixed in surround for Gavin Harrison and O5Ric, but if you don't like Jakko's singing, this one's not recommended as I think O5Ric's singing is much worse!

There's others, but I honestly believe that "Trilogy" is the best starting point for hearing what Jakko is capable of when it comes to 5.1 surround mixing. :)

I just heard Scarcity for the first time yesterday and loved it. I think Jakko was the guitarist/vocalist at the KC show I saw in SF this year? I think he did fine!

And, what a coinkidink, I'm using Trilogy to troubleshoot a 2nd, mancave/mixing 5.1 system now!

Yep, that's Jakko alright on lead vocals with King Crimson both this year and last year, the first new lead vocalist King Crimson has had in over 30 years! :)

His "singing" makes me instantly hit the skip button!

Wow, Razor & Tie has S/T, Tarkus, & Trilogy each for only $12.75!
Done done & done! Apparently just the sale I was waiting for! So thank you for the timely recommendation and reminding me to grab these!

Crimson played in Madison 4 blocks from my house that last tour. Wish I would have been in the target audience for that. I liked seeing them when they were hungry for improvising.

You're quite welcome! I love all three of those ELP albums and their respective 5.1 mixes by Steven Wilson (for the first two) and Jakko (for "Trilogy"), so I hope you will enjoy them too! (and especially at those prices, they are definitely worth it!) :)
