I don't stream. I think that musicians are getting ripped off by it and can't survive financially on music alone, but the more worrying thing is where will the new music come from if bands/musicians can't earn enough? Will we just end up with a bland homogenous style of music with very little originality?
We were heading back to the early eras where musicians only survived because they toured and played live continuously, and when/if they made a record they never saw much from it. Then Covid struck and the few remaining venues closed.
