For me, the SM v.2 was "A Long Time Comin'"! I'm so glad i finally unboxed it! Absolutely adore what it can do to cacophonous classics like this one!

Steely Dan - Katy Lied (1980s MCA CD issue)
This one sounds mighty fine through the SM, as most Steely Dan does. Haven’t really gotten into this particular record yet but I listened to the entire thing tonight and the Surround Master pulled lots of harmony vocals and tasty guitar playing to the rears. “Chain Lightning” was the highlight mix-wise. Really enhanced the listening experience. Sublime!

This record was a mind-blower when I first heard it, loaned by an older high school cat who played in bands, loved soul music & smokin' hot guitar.
This was not played on Top 40 AM radio.
You had to be in the know from word of mouth, college students, record stores, magazines...
We took great pride that Buddy Miles was from Nebraska.
Next came Super Session, Mike & Harvey with Al Kooper.
Exciting times.

I've been searching for years, without any success, for the blu ray of BT's Electronic Opus. Now that i have my SM v.2 set up, i may forget the search and continue to enjoy the CD!

Hoo Boy! I remember picking up my first copy of this album at Rolling Stone Records, downtown Chicago, in the fall of 1980, on the Friday of the week it was released. Played it as soon as i got home – played it ALL weekend long. Life changer! I'm not really able to A-B this and the surround mix on the DVD-A, but what is happening through the SM v.2 reminds me of how i felt on 10 October 1980 – Life changer! Ohmygosh! I listened to the a LOT in high school! It straight up comes ALIVE through the SM v.2! Hearing "Let's Get the Show On the Road" through @chucky3042 magic machine is as good as through headphones in an altered state in the late 1970s! wOw!
