If anyone missed out on purchasing this during the initial announcement (like me), it appears to be available again for purchase on the SDE shop: EXCLUSIVE: Suede 30th anniversary limited edition blu-ray audio

It still lists "Pre-order ends on 29 April 2023" on the ordering page, but the pre-order link is back up. I was able to order a copy just now.

Personally, I love this album, so that and Steve Wilson mixing it made the purchase a no-brainer for me. (y)
I’ve never heard it but it sounds up my alley and that Wilson is involved is exciting of course.

I know I could find it on YouTube or wherever and check it out but I’d rather just get the disc, crank up the surround mix and experience it that way.

Just like the old days of buying new albums. :)

I think you might like the album if you like Mick Ronson era Bowie, with a hint of T. Rex and a bit of the Smiths thrown in. The album has some nice glam rock oriented rockers. The songs "The Drowners" and "Metal Mickey" would fall into that category, and were also early singles from the album. There are some atmospheric ballads with "She's Not Dead" and "Sleeping Pills". There's a song titled "Moving" which has some phasing that happens to the stereo mix, which I'll be interested in hearing Steve Wilson's surround mix interpretation of.

Also, technically, the band's first three singles, "The Drowners", "Metal Mickey", and "Animal Nitrate", which appear on the album, were released before the album, so you could possibly check those out before listening to the surround mix. I also understand wanting the experience of hearing those songs for the first time in surround, so I'm not judging.

EDIT: I've been informed I confused my "Animal Lover" with my "Animal Nitrate", so I've updated the title of the third single in my text.

"Animal Lover" is a track on the album, but is probably its weakest and wasn't a single. "Animal Nitrate" was the third single.
It was also omitted from Brett's alternate/revised tracklisting.
It's a shame SW didn't mix the b-sides- I've gotten used to some of them being on the album proper.

Stay Together was the song that made me take notice of Suede when it came out. I was 13 and miserable and played that thing over and over again for months on my walkman, it was the perfect soundtrack to my life at the time. Then Dog Man Star came out and blew my mind. Only started listening the first album some years later. Really hope we'll get more Suede and it would be really amazing to have the singles and b-sides too. 🤞

Just got my shipping notice for Suede :)
Is that the fastest SDE so far from announcement to ship?
No, according to my records, I ordered Brian Eno on 9/15/22 (day of announcement) and I received my copy on 10/19/22.
Additionally, I ordered Ten Year's After on 1/20/23 (day of announcement) and I received my copy on 3/29/23

So, yeah, this title is coming fast as well. Compared to many others.
