The Beatles ‎– 17 Beatles Greatest Hits, Label: Rex Record (2) ‎– WLP 189, Format: Stereo Vinyl, LP, Compilation, Country: Malaysia, Released: 1972. Neither the place nor the year of manufacture is indicated on cover or record. The information is taken from the book ‘RARE RECORD COVER BOOK’ by Hans Pokora.
However, there is an ultra-rare Malaysia quadraphonic LP record version of this album, released with 2 different labels, Black & white and black & orange. The black & white have "REX Records NO189" printed on them The black & orange have "4 Channel Sound 189" printed on them with WLP-189 in the trail off vinyl. The record is highly likely mixed in Regular Matrix (RM) quad but decodes well in QS quad. The production varies from track to track hence possible unofficial release.

I own this vinyl album, The Beatles - 17 Beatles Greatest Hits, with a different cover from the stereo version shown on Discogs but the same 17 tracks in quadraphonic sound. The pristine record label is black and orange with printed "4 Channel" with the same WLP 189 number and in the trail-off vinyl. It plays closer to QS quad than SQ quad. The 4 channel sound does vary from track to track.

Far East has always been very creative on putting any kind of logos on their pirate stuff (even today...), there was no quad beatles mixes in 1972, it's just a fake.
