A couple of brief sample videos of the zoom range of the Nikon P610 taken today at the lowest resolution for file size limitation.

The male hummer shown in the 2nd video is very young, showing only 4 ruby-colored throat or "gorget" feathers. When very young you cannot tell the males from the females until the ruby feathers start to develop on the males. Please excuse the shakiness!

Happy Birthday Bodhi. One year old today.
Bodhi is turning out to be an awesome companion for me and the wife. He walks with us every day and is coming along nicely with his leash training. He fetches the newspaper every morning, rain or shine. We feel so fortunate to have found such an incredible dog.

Five years ago, my Canadian lady adopted a two-year-old, flat-coated retriever, who had been abandoned in the parking lot of a provincial park. Yesterday, Lily had her 5-year Adopt-a-versary party at her doggie day-care. A gentler, sweeter dog you couldn’t find, and the only time she’s ever barked was at a bunny that ran past her. Everyone (and everything) else gets smothered with licks (so yeah, a guard dog she ain’t).
