Lotta difference between a spraycan and a full out paint job. But yeah, it's illegal in a lot of places, could be also an EPA thing, I dunno. What? Is it illegal to spray touchup paint on your car, in your driveway/yard?

Touchup is fine. But if you're spraying a whole car in your backyard and somebody reports you.... yeah, you'll be getting a visit from the Po-po, a fine and your painting stuff taken away. Jail time if you're a repeat offender. What? Is it illegal to spray touchup paint on your car, in your driveway/yard?

I have yet to hear a friend or colleague tell me about a car restoration they set out on that didn’t finish over budget. The downside is we've exceeded my budget. (sort of) I was quoted between 12k and 15k. Well, some rust work and a LOT of dent removal burnt up 250 hours very quickly.
I mean, it's not a HUGE deal.... I had 20-large set aside for this it's just that the total is probably going to wind up being nearer 17k plus tax
Oh well.
On the plus side, I'll probably be able to ask 30k-35k US when I decide to sell. If not more! So, I'm not upside down on the car at all.
Oh, for sure. Even Jay Leno says "If you're restoring cars and making profit, you're doing something wrong!"I have yet to hear a friend or colleague tell me about a car restoration they set out on that didn’t finish over budget.
Of course, the newest ones can't be any newer than 34 years old.I saw an El Camino yesterday in a McDonald's parking lot. Too much rust.
I can't wait to see it in the sunlight. I'll probably have to warn bystanders that serious retinal damage may occur if you stare directly at the Gremlin! That's total green overload! Excellent!
There's a local car club with a sharp El Camino. Last week I also saw an old Ranchero parked at a dealer's lot. Never liked the Ford's that much though.I saw an El Camino yesterday in a McDonald's parking lot. Too much rust.
WARNING: If you look at this car in sunlight and then look away, you will see a green spot, in the shape of a Gremlin, in your field of vision, for 10 minutes before it finally fades. This is normal.I can't wait to see it in the sunlight. I'll probably have to warn bystanders that serious retinal damage may occur if you stare directly at the Gremlin!![]()
