My Morning Jacket last night in New Haven. This is a band that could sound amazing in surround sound....

Last weekend my wife and I traveled with friends to Foxwoods casino in CT to catch one of the last shows on the tour for Alison Krauss and Robert Plant. They were great, of course, and the band was otherworldly. Standouts were Stuart Duncan(the David Lindley of Nashville as he has mastered anything with strings on it) and Jay Bellerose on drums. They also included “Rock’n’Roll,” “The Battle Of Evermore” and “When The Levee Breaks” in the set list. They blew the roof off with the latter two songs.

Tonight I'm seeing Steve Hackett in the Hull City Hall and coming up in our small venue we welcome Deborah Bonham & Peter Bullick (Paul Rodgers) on Oct 1st followed by Russ Ballard on Oct 8th

Very true. In that regard, Roger's a lot like David Crosby. 😉
Yes, except Roger’s more into making political statements, whereas Crosby more often than not takes on individuals in a personal way. Either way, Gilmour is done with performing again with Roger, and the same can be said about Stills, Nash and Young re:Crosby.

I had been thinking of going to see Mr. Waters when he plays the UK, as I'd seen him do The Wall at the O2/Millenium Dome a few years ago. and it was a good show/gig. Then I heard about his comments. Not bothering now.
You have to feel for his sidemen who are losing out on what would have been lucrative gigs.

Friday, 30th Sept. in Exeter, Wildwood Kin, very folky, great harmonies

Sadly the gig was cancelled as one of the band is ill. Luckily, I managed to get hold of my brother before he set off on a 2hr journey down here for the gig (its normally me driving for 2hrs north!), and the weather was awful, so he wouldn't have been happy to have arrived for no reason! Rescheduled for Dec. 17th.
