The Sound of Jazz is the latest 3-Channel SACD released by Analogue Productions.
It's an Analog Tape to DSD transfer by Ryan K. Smith at Sterling Sound.

Taken from a historic CBS Jazz concert broadcast in 1958.
Featuring a who's who of Jazz artists including Count Basie, Billie Holiday, Henry "Red" Allen, Jimmy Gifffre Trio, Jimmy Rushing and Mal Waldron.

Great sound - highly recommended!
It's an excellent addition to the label's earlier 3-Channel SACDs from Nat King Cole, Ray Charles, Harry Belafonte, Sam Cooke, Dave Brubeck, The Weavers, Oscar Peterson and several early RCA Living Stereo albums.

I think this 3-channel sacd is a treasure. It sounds phenomenal and balanced and the performances are tops. I was not well-versed with the history of this recording when I added it to my Acoustic Sounds basket (almost as an afterthought) when I was ordering a Nat King Cole sacd. The Sound of Jazz is now one of my favorite discs.
