The Tower Records SACD price cuts seem to be slowly rolling out across the chain.

The 2 stores in Silicon Valley (San Mateo and Mountain View) still have the "old" higher prices on the Sony SACDs.

But at the Dublin Tower Records in the East Bay, they have restickered all of the Sony SACDs to $19.99 (Stereo) and $21.99 (Multichannel). The one exception was Chris Botti whose Multichannel SACD remains at $24.99 (?)

Well, they haven't hit here in Reno yet. I stopped by there yesterday and stereo discs are still $21.99 and MC are $26.99. They are by far the most expensive place to go locally. The only reason I check there at all is to catch the specials like the O'Jays MC which was $9.99 when I bought it.

It's hit or miss here. 1 store has dropped the prices, 2 others have not.

In the meantime, you might try some of the web outlets like Elusive Disc. They sell both Sony Music Stereo and Multichannel/Stereo SACDs for only $17.99 each.
