Sjcorne, I would love to check out the 5.1 of this, and was curious to know if there are any purchase options for the surround mix as a "standalone".

damn. I'm actually working at a record/cd/media warehouse at the moment and they have 1 copy of this sitting on a shelf waiting to be bought. I don't have much of an itch to hear the new stereo mixes, as I loved Conny's original mixes of this and Vienna. These immersion editions really cut into the monthly budget when you only want the surrround aspect of the package.

not so good as to make it worth it. There was a half-off sale one day around Christmas , and bought the Crimson documentary and the Animals 5.1. That was all I could manage at the time.
