I have had satellite tv for over 20 years, put up the first dish myself. But, due to increasing costs I'm thinking seriously of ditching satellite.
What I would use would probably be a combination of my Windows HTPC, broadcast tv, firestick, whatever is on internet. But I would need recording capability. I'm an early to bed guy and so the very few things I care to watch on tv I miss, although my wife has some wider interests she would like to peruse at her leisure (recorded).
(I have a Hauppauge 1212 DVR I used to use in Win 7 but it's too much work)
Is this doable in Kodi with a PVR without having to constantly futz with settings, something relatively easy to set up? My past experience with PVR's (years ago) was not very good-I'm sure they are much improved now?
Thanks for any help/ideas.
