It feels increasingly as if there should just be a running obituary thread. Another one gone much too young.

Notable albums eventually mixed for surround featuring Oliver's cover designs include the Pixies, Doolittle. (Of course lots of people are waiting in vain for Cocteau Twins...)

Yes, much too young. Saddened to hear about this last week. I've got a sizable chunk of his work in my collection—Pixies, Cocteau Twins, Breeders, This Mortal Coil, Pale Saints, Lush and probably a few I'm forgetting. Pixies' Surfer Rosa and Doolittle remain two of my favorite album covers.
