I love anything quad. Equalizers were one thing that I once thought were very cool. I built my own but used rotary pots with centre detents because it's easier for a DIY project to drill holes than to cut slits in a panel. I suppose if used as intended to flatten out the response of your particular listening room they serve a useful purpose but I never really found them to be of much value. I have a friend who loves using an equalizer but he plays with it using radically different curves for each stereo channel adjusting by (his) ear. In short they can really muck up the sound if not set up correctly.

That thing was something of a con if you ask me. It didn't offer independent equalisation of all four channels. You could choose to equalise as a pair the front speakers and as a pair the rear speakers OR as a pair the right speakers and the left speakers OR as a pair the F left / B right diagonal speakers and as a pair the F right / B left diagonal speakers.
