Well, I definitely wouldn't call this a "bargain"....

Apparently, this must be very rare. Someone in Japan on eBay asking $2k for this CD-4 that's not listed in Discogs. Tom Jones? If it wasn't 2 grand, I might bid on this. (Really? At $2k they want another $35 shipping? )

The OBI is wrinkled, make an offer with a discounted price of $99.99 😁

That seller's been around for years - he's got tons of rare Japanese CD-4 stuff listed, but it never sells due to the exorbitant cost.
I saw a Japanese CD 4 he listed and it was $300. I was not willing to pay that for any record, so I offered him half, and he took it and I got it fast and super good service. He does have lots of stuff we will never likely see here, so it can be worth making an offer.

When one factors in US sales tax and s/h charges, it's akin to what I paid for my All Region OPPO 205 just a scant few years ago. I suppose one can charge whatever they wish but the cheapest price for a single STEREO Vinyl LP was $249!

Maybe his significant other demanded he rid their home of all the vinyl clutter and this was his way of accomodating her wishes.

LOL!

Wow. Has anybody here heard the QR version? I was just listening to Rick Rubin interview Jones on the Broken Record podcast and wondered whether there were any quad releases in Jones's long discography.

Exceptionally strong discreet mix, strings and guitars are placed in rear chans on some tracks, and the sound is great. The only issue is that Tom is covering a lot of others' hits, and no hits here that are his own. The opening song Running Bear" sounds awkward for Tom's delivery (I have other vers. of the tune George Jones, etc.). But it's a lively sounding Q4 tape. I'm listening to a DTS CD conversion btw.

I’m not even gonna speculate what this might be worth. Lol
